Workplace Safety

Problem: Workplace accidents can result in increased costs through medical expenses, worker's compensation claims, and potential lawsuits, the goal is to apply learned safety techniques to real-life scenarios in the warehouse environment to prevent injuries.

Solution: This course is designed to directly engage warehouse employees in warehouse safety operations, including material handling, inventory management, and equipment operation.

Highlights: This course uses Merrill's principles of instruction, Mayer's multimedia theory, tab interactions, flip cards, markers, workplace scenarios,  Camtasia block, Storyline blocks, gamification, and a scenario based final quiz.

Process:  This demo eLearning module was developed through the ADDIE model. Starting with an organizational brainstorming practice arranging learning objectives and behavioral outcomes on sticky notes, the designer and SMEs determined the course objectives, content, and outcomes. During the design phase, a design document was crafted to highlight engaging interactions in storyline blocks. After development, the course would be uploaded to the company LMS in compliance to SCORM requirements.

Evaluation: The Kirkpatrick's model level 2 assessment would gauge staff engagement and knowledge retention. Level 3 observations of behavioral changes along with survey results and social media postings will ensure long term positive outcomes.
